Dearly Beloved...

We are gathered here today... oh wait! That's not until tomorrow :-)  My lovely friend Laura and her hubby-to-be Nathan asked me to photograph their wedding tomorrow.  I am very much looking forward to a day filled with smiles, friends, and lots and lots of picture-taking!  Here are a few pictures from the rehearsal dinner.

HOPE IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Ali & Melody

I found two purple people!
Ali, Becca, & myself

Chase, myself, Shiloh, and Mon (one of two DM pictures)

we missed a few DM seniors (sorry!).  it was a bit loud & crazy around America's center!

Shiloh, Claire, Elizabeth, myself, and Lucy (two of two DM pictures)

Eric and Claire- I had asked them if they'd gotten a picture taken yet, and they said no.  I fixed that in two seconds!

Danforth 2 '08-'09

We had a floor brunch (thanks Brett for organizing!!) today on Art Hill in Forest Park!  It was almost like old times when we would head to Center Court for brunch together at 11am on Sunday's.

Pardon Me

... if I become sentimental these next 7 days.  It's hard to believe that after 4 years in St. Louis I am saying 'adios' (for at least 4 years.  i'm being not so subtly persuaded at work to come back for my post-doc).
